Chocolate Peanut Butter Krispie Bars

3 tablespoons butter
10 ounces marshmallows
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
6 cups cocoa rice krispies

In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, gently melt butter and marshmallows, stirring often, until smooth. Add in peanut butter and stir until smooth.

Pour in rice krispies and stir until combined.

Scoop mixture into a 9x13" baking pan lightly coated with nonstick spray. Gently press down to make an even layer. Cut into squares when cool.

  1. Even better, mix chunky peanut butter and butterscotch chips, heat until melted. Put half into 9X13 pan. Melt a bag of chocolate chips with powdered sugar. Spread over krispies in pan,and top with remaining krispies. (comfort food from a boyfriendless summer 37 years ago!)
