Grilled Apples with Cheese and Honey

Grilled Apples with Cheese and HoneyGrilled Apples with Cheese and Honey (Adapted from Eating Well)

1 large tart apple, core removed and sliced into 1/2" rounds
2 teaspoons canola oil
1 teaspoon confectioners’ sugar
1 ounce sharp white Cheddar cheese, shaved into thin strips
2 tablespoons chopped pecans, toasted
4 teaspoons apple blossom honey

Preheat grill or an appliance like The Griddler

In a large bowl, toss together apple slices, oil and confectioners' sugar.

Place the apple slices on the grill and cook until just tender and lightly marked, turning once, about 3-6 minutes total.

To serve, divide the slices between two plates and top them with a sprinkling of cheese and nuts. Finish with a drizzle of honey.

Makes 2 servings.
