Strawberry-Basil Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette

Strawberry-Basil Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette (Adapted from CL)

3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
salt and fresh ground black pepper
8 cups torn red or romaine lettuce
2 cups sliced hulled strawberries
1/2 cup sliced Vidalia onion
1/4 cup torn fresh basil

In a large bowl, whisk together oil and vinegar - season with salt and fresh ground black pepper. Add lettuce, strawberries, onion and basil, tossing gently to coat.

Makes about 4 to 6 servings.

  1. I just wanted to say that I simply love your blog. I look forward to what you prepare, as we read the same magazines and such. I made this as well, thought it was simple yet remarkably good. I made a pizza with the same ingredients and that too was beautiful. Don't you love all the freshness?
